How can we help?

The same 75 articles the app shows — and the text VeDa answers “how do I…” questions from.

Getting started

Your start-of-day workflow

Do your vehicle check, scan or add your stops, optimise the route, then start Drive mode.

  1. Do your start-of-shift vehicle inspection if your company uses one.
  2. Add your stops: scan parcel labels, search a postcode, or add by voice.
  3. Take a few van-load photos if you want Find my parcel.
  4. Optimise the route, then start Drive mode.

Permissions VeDa asks for and why

Location for navigation, microphone and speech for voice, camera for scanning, contacts only when you ask VeDa to call someone.

Each permission is asked for when you first use the feature that needs it. If you said no, Settings → VeDa Driver in iOS lets you change it. Contacts are read only at the moment you ask VeDa to call a name and are never stored.

Routes & stops

Parcel photographs and proof

Use Take parcel photo at the stop to keep a photo with the delivery record.

Optimising and re-optimising the route

Optimise orders your stops by road distance and respects time slots and any stop you pinned first or last. Re-optimise after changes; VeDa only re-orders for a meaningful saving.

How to reoptimise after changes

After adding a stop, skipping one or a delay, say "optimise my route" or tap Optimise. VeDa keeps stops you pinned first or last and respects time slots.

Setting a stop first or last

Open the stop and choose Set as first or Set as final, or say "leave that one until last". Optimising then works around it.

Handing stops to another driver

Round menu → Hand over (or Account → Hand over). Choose the stops, and VeDa gives you an 8-character code. The other driver goes to Account → Receive, enters it and accepts — the stops move to their phone and leave yours, never duplicated.

  1. Round menu → Hand over, choose the stops (a range, all, or tap them).
  2. Share the 8-character code — it lasts 15 minutes.
  3. The other driver: Account → Receive, type the code, check "N stops from …" and accept.

Both drivers need signal and a VeDa account in the same company. Your manager's history records every hand-over. A wrong code too many times is blocked for a while.

Map & navigation

Drive mode and navigation

Tap Drive mode or Start navigation to this stop. The map follows you, and VeDa speaks only what you need.

Road closed

Say "VeDa, this road is closed". VeDa marks that road unavailable for this round and finds a way round. She also tells you about official closures on your route from Transport for London and National Highways.

Weather warnings Partly available

VeDa can tell you the weather at your position or a stop. Route-aware "rain on your route in 20 minutes" warnings are being added.

Finding petrol, toilets, food and more

Ask VeDa: "find the nearest petrol station", "find a toilet", "find a supermarket", then say navigate to open the route.

Arrival briefing

As you arrive VeDa says, once, how many items are for that stop and any note that matters — nothing more.

Industrial estates and Estate Arrival Mode

You don't switch it on. When your stop is in an industrial estate, business park or multi-unit site, VeDa checks every source of the destination — not just the map pin — and guides you in with short lines like "Unit 8 is about 70 metres ahead". If she isn't sure she says so.

  1. Drive to the stop as normal. As you get within a few hundred metres an "Estate mode" badge appears on the map.
  2. VeDa speaks only when it helps, and once if you drive past the entrance.
  3. When you find the right door, say "this is the correct entrance" so the next delivery is more accurate.

A saved entrance you confirmed is trusted more than a generic postcode pin. A postcode-only match is shown as "unsure", with the safe fallback: drive to the estate and look for unit signs.

Correcting a wrong map pin

Stand at the right entrance and say "VeDa, this is the correct entrance", "this is the delivery entrance" or "move this delivery location here". A single reading is saved as "likely"; it becomes verified once it is confirmed again on another visit.

VeDa checks the GPS accuracy first and asks you to move closer if it is poor. "This pin is wrong" clears a saved entrance so the original location is used again.

Street view and entrance imagery Partly available

Where Look Around imagery exists VeDa shows it; otherwise it falls back to the satellite view with the entrance pin.

Faster route offers and road closures Partly available

While you drive VeDa checks whether a much better order exists for your remaining stops and, if it saves a meaningful amount, offers it: "I've found a faster route that should save around 14 minutes. Do you want me to switch?" Small differences are ignored. Choose how she behaves in Settings, Route changes.

Road closures and incidents come from Transport for London (London roads) and National Highways (motorways and major A-roads), checked every 5 minutes; VeDa tells you when one is on your remaining route and offers a way round. Live congestion delays are not switched on for all drivers yet, so faster-route offers are based on your stops and roads, not live traffic speed. "VeDa, this road is closed" still reroutes around a closure straight away.

VeDa and other navigation apps Partly available

VeDa keeps listening and talking while Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze is in front. When their voice speaks, iPhone lowers VeDa's volume rather than talking over it, and if a call or Siri cuts VeDa off mid-sentence she says a short reply again afterwards. iPhone decides who gets the speaker, so VeDa can't stop another app talking.

Settings → "Keep VeDa working behind other apps". While hands-free is on, iPhone shows the orange microphone dot and the blue location indicator: the location keeps VeDa running if another app's voice interrupts her, and keeps "you've passed it" and arrival alerts working. Tested at the desk behind all three apps; a full real-drive test is still to be done.

Map views — Classic (Google), Light, Satellite and more

Tap the layers button on the map. Classic (Google) is the Google map delivery drivers know, with a thin blue route and VeDa's numbered stops; Light (free) is the open-data backup; Satellite shows real imagery. Your choice stays until you change it.

  1. Tap the layers button on the right of the map.
  2. Pick Classic (Google), Light (free), Standard, Satellite, Hybrid, 3D, Delivery or Route overview.
  3. Or say "VeDa, classic map", "satellite view" or "show my whole route".

Classic (Google) needs a data connection to draw new areas. If Google can't draw at all, VeDa shows the free light map instead and tries Google again by herself. Talking about the map ("it went dark") never changes it — only an instruction does.

House numbers, done stops and stop badges on the map

Stop pins are round with the route number; house numbers are small white tags and never sit on top of a pin. Done stops fade. Say "hide completed stops", "show outstanding stops", "show house numbers" or "hide house numbers".

  1. Zoom in to street level to see house numbers; closer still shows house names.
  2. Done stops fade — say "hide completed stops" or "show outstanding stops" for only what is left, "show completed stops" to bring them back.
  3. A "!" on a pin means its time slot will probably be missed, "◔" that it is tight.
  4. Icons on a pin are company requirements: ✍ signature, ⏱ timer, 📷 photo, ✉ card, ↩ return, ☎ call.
  5. "≈" on a pin means the position is only approximate — check the door.
  6. Settings → Map & navigation has the same switches.

House numbers come only from address records at the property itself — never guessed. A house number that reads the same as a nearby stop number is hidden so the two are never confused. VeDa's map has no business layer yet; ask for nearby places instead ("find the nearest petrol station").

Which house is it? Finding a stop by house number, and back to the van Partly available

Say "which house is it" at the street — VeDa uses the house numbers around you, e.g. "Target is 42. You're beside 40; 42 is the next property", only when the numbers prove it. Say "find number 18" to open the stop at that house number, and "take me back to the van" or "where's the van" after you park.

  1. "Which house is it" — VeDa says which number you are beside and where the target is; if the map has no numbers there, she says only what she knows.
  2. "Find number 18" / "which stop is number 18" — the HOUSE number, not the stop number.
  3. "Where's the van" / "take me back to the van" — VeDa remembers where you parked when you arrive or stop, and says the distance and direction.

The parked-van memory and the walking view need a real phone and a real drive to prove; they are still being checked on the road.

How the map follows you — speed zoom, arrival, walking and weak GPS Partly available

While the map follows you it zooms out on faster roads and in when you slow down, looks ahead the way you are going, closes in on the street then the property as you arrive, and shows the door area when you walk from the van. Move the map by hand and it waits before following again.

  1. Say "follow me" or tap the centre button to follow.
  2. When the GPS is weak a blue circle shows how rough your position is and the map stops zooming in close — your route, stops and timers keep working.
  3. Low Power Mode or a low battery makes the map move less often while you are parked and draw fewer house numbers — navigation is never reduced.
  4. Say "what's wrong with the map" for a check of GPS, the map provider, your pins and the route line.

These camera moves are being proven on real drives; if one feels wrong, say so and it goes in VeDa's problem log.

Adding a stop by postcode or address Partly available

Search a postcode or address and pick the exact premises. The full premises list needs the address provider switched on by the account owner.

  1. Tap Search a postcode or address.
  2. Type the postcode, then filter by house number, flat or business.
  3. Pick the exact premises — the route goes to that premises, not the middle of the postcode.

Without the premises provider you still get postcode, street, business and named-building results from open data, and the app labels them as such.

Finding one address in a long postcode list

When Add stop shows the addresses for a postcode, just say which one: "find 101", "find flat 12", "find unit four" or "find the TSG building". VeDa moves it to the top and highlights it. Say "that's it" to add it, or "no, the other one" if she picked the wrong one.

  1. Say or type a postcode in Add stop.
  2. Say "find" and a house number, flat, unit or name.
  3. If two places match, VeDa reads them out — say "the first one", "the second one" or the name.
  4. Say "that's it" to add it. You can also say it all at once: "add EN6 3JN and find number 101".

VeDa only searches the list that is already on your screen, so finding an address doesn't cost another lookup. If it isn't there she says so and never guesses. When you pick one after using your own name for it ("the TSG building"), she remembers that name for next time, and the official address stays exactly as it is. If it's already on your round she tells you instead of adding it twice. If you've saved the delivery entrance for that place (Correct Location), she tells you and the stop uses it. You can spell a name ("T S G") and she copes with small mishearings, but she never picks a guess on her own.

Finding an address with no postcode or a wrong postcode Partly available

Give VeDa the clues you have and she finds the real address: "find number 18 Arrow Close and add it properly", "this postcode looks wrong, find number 18 on this road", "find TSG near here" or "find Rose Cottage in this postcode".

  1. Say "find" and what you know: the house number and street, a flat, the town, a business name or a house name.
  2. No postcode, or a wrong one? Say so: "the postcode is wrong, find the real one". VeDa searches with the number, street and town instead.
  3. If two places fit, VeDa asks one short question, like "Dallow Road or Sundon Park?". Answer with the street, "the first one" or "the nearest one".
  4. If the real postcode is different from the parcel, VeDa tells you and asks before using it.
  5. Say "add it", or add more in the same sentence: "add it, make it first and navigate" or "add a timer and navigate".
  6. Typed or scanned something that was not found? Tap "Let VeDa find it from the clues" in Add stop.

VeDa only uses addresses that really exist and never makes up a house number. She checks your own earlier deliveries and the free map and address data first. A paid postal lookup is used at most once, and only for the one postcode the free data points to. She never changes a postcode without finding the property itself, and she always asks you first. The stop keeps what the label said next to the address VeDa checked. "Find everything you can about this address" tells you what VeDa knows for the delivery: the full address, postcode, the property reference, whether the map pin is on the building, a saved entrance and earlier deliveries. It never tells you anything personal about the people there.

Why did VeDa say a stop has no location?

A stop's address couldn't be matched to real coordinates (a failed or skipped geocode). Open that stop and re-enter the address — VeDa deliberately won't show it on the map with an invalid location, which is what a real freeze/crash risk looks like from a bad coordinate.

Scanning & loading

Scanning a parcel label

Tap Scan a label or postcode, point the camera at the label and capture it. VeDa reads the full address on your phone and adds the stop.

  1. Tap Scan a label or postcode.
  2. Capture the label (Capture label photo). Retake if it is blurry.
  3. Check the address VeDa read — if it is unsure it asks you to confirm.
  4. Then Scan next label, or Done.

Van load photos and Find my parcel Partly available

Take a few wide photos of the load at the start. VeDa reads visible label text on your phone and matches it to stops; low-confidence matches ask you first. It reads text — it does not recognise a parcel by its shape.

  1. At the start of the round take the van-load photos, then Done with van photos.
  2. At a stop, tap Find my parcel for this stop.

Loading mode — one label after another

Start loading from Add stops (or say "VeDa, start loading"). Each scan is saved and checked, then the scanner opens again for the next parcel. The Van Loading bar shows your counts; tap Done loading when the van is full.

  1. Add stops → Start loading, or say "start loading".
  2. Scan each parcel label — it saves and goes straight back to the scanner.
  3. To fix a stop or add a note, open it, then tap Return to loading (or say "go back to loading").
  4. Tap Done loading — VeDa checks nothing was missed.

A loading session survives the app closing or the phone restarting and picks up where you were. The same parcel scanned twice is caught, and deleting a stop during loading asks first. "Undo" removes only the last scan.

How does Van Load Vision find my parcel?

At the start of your round, take a few wide photos of the van load area. VeDa reads visible label text on-device (nothing leaves your phone) and matches it to your stops by postcode, address, or business name. Low-confidence matches ask you to confirm before VeDa relies on them.

Timers & notes

Editing a stop, notes and voice notes

Open Stop details to change the address, add a note or reference, set the item count and a time slot, or dictate a voice note.

Time slots and timers

Give a stop a time slot — "deliver after", "due by", or both — and switch on Urgent if it must come early. Optimise then plans your order around them: it never gets you there before a "deliver after" time, and if a "due by" time can't be met it says which stop and by roughly how much. The stop card shows "Due by 16:00 — expected arrival 15:22". If a slot comes under threat while you drive, VeDa warns you and offers to re-optimise. Timers track how long you spend at each stop.

VeDa assistant

Talking to VeDa

Turn on hands-free listening and speak naturally. Ask about your round, ask general questions, or give a command — you can interrupt VeDa at any time.

Changing VeDa's voice

Settings → VeDa → Voice Studio lists the voices on your phone with a preview. The default is a British neural voice.

Music and media Partly available

VeDa can open Spotify or your music app. iOS does not let VeDa start a chosen playlist or song inside another app, so it says so instead of pretending.

Voice isolation and speaker recognition

VeDa uses the iPhone's echo cancellation and noise suppression so she doesn't hear herself. Optionally enrol your voice under Account, Voice and speaker recognition so she prefers you over radio and passengers. Anyone can still wake her by saying "VeDa", but that gives them none of your permissions.

  1. Account → Voice & speaker recognition.
  2. Enrol my voice — say the four phrases.
  3. Choose how strict it is, or turn "Let others wake VeDa" off.

Only a numeric voiceprint is kept in the iPhone Keychain on this phone; the recordings are deleted at once and nothing is uploaded. Speaker recognition is a filter, not proof of identity, and in a very noisy cab she may ask you to repeat.

When VeDa gets an answer wrong

Say "that's wrong" or "check that again". VeDa looks the question up again and only changes what she remembers if reliable sources agree. She never keeps a single random search result as a fact, and facts that change, like prices, are re-checked when they get old.

How much VeDa talks — Natural & Helpful, Commands Only, Custom

Settings → Conversation style. Natural & Helpful chats and warns you about useful things; Commands Only keeps her short and only speaks up for urgent things; Custom lets you pick which warnings you get. Or say "just commands" / "talk normally again".

  1. Settings → Conversation style.
  2. Pick Natural & Helpful, Commands Only or Custom.
  3. In Custom, switch traffic, weather, deadlines, route and reminder warnings on or off.

What VeDa remembers — and how to change it

Say "VeDa, remember that…" and she keeps it; "what do you remember?" lists it; "forget…" or "that's wrong, it's…" changes it. She can also learn how you like notes written, e.g. "when I'm loading, write quantities as numbers".

Things you tell her follow your account to your other devices. Anything about one particular stop stays on that phone, and she never keeps door, gate or alarm codes.

Ask VeDa anything — money, holidays, words, books, research, the world

VeDa answers everyday questions from trusted open sources and says where the answer came from.

  1. Currency: "Convert 50 pounds to euros" (European Central Bank rate).
  2. Holidays: "When is the next bank holiday?" or "Public holidays in Poland".
  3. Words: "What does resilient mean?" (Wiktionary).
  4. Books and research: "Who wrote The Hobbit?", "Research papers on electric vans".
  5. The world: "Any earthquakes today?", "Any weather warnings?" (Met Office).

VeDa misheard something I said — what now?

Say "No, I said <the right thing>" or "I meant <the right thing>" — VeDa recognises a correction and re-interprets without losing the conversation. For an accent or background noise, VeDa also tries a phonetic best-match before giving up.

The voice sounds robotic — can I change it?

Settings → VeDa & voice → Voice Studio lists every real voice on your phone (grouped Recommended / English (UK) / Other English / Fallback), with a Preview. Enhanced/Premium voices install from iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices.

Voice commands

Adding stops by voice

Tap Add by voice, or just tell VeDa the address, and it will ask you to confirm before adding it.

What you can say

Ask "what is my next stop", "how many stops left", "skip this stop", "mark it delivered", "leave that one until last", "this road is closed", "call Mum", "find a toilet", or a general question.

Tasks & compliance

Tasks, reminders & company requirements

VeDa keeps a to-do list for everything you still have to do — cards, proof photos, returns, letters, forms, depot and stock reminders — and warns you before a required item is late. Open it from the menu: Tasks & compliance.

  1. "Nobody in at stop 4" — records the failed attempt and lists what your company needs (card, photo, return).
  2. "What have I still got to do?" · "What have I missed?" · "What needs doing before I finish?"
  3. "Show anything that could cost me money" — an ESTIMATE from your company rules, never a deduction.
  4. "When I get back to the depot, remind me to pick up You Missed Me slips" · "Remind me to take the letters in the morning" · "Before I leave the depot tomorrow, remind me to collect more cards" · "When I finish the round, remind me to return these forms".
  5. At the depot, say "this is my depot" once so depot reminders know where it is.
  6. "I've got five cards left" — VeDa reminds you to pick more up at the depot.
  7. After VeDa mentions a task: "leave this for tomorrow", "next shift", "remind me when I'm passing", "snooze it for 20 minutes", "I've done the letter".
  8. Photograph a letter, card or notice in Tasks & compliance — VeDa reads it on the phone and makes the task (the photo isn't kept).
  9. "Give me some motivation" — encouragement from your real progress, never about speed.

Compliance dashboard, penalties & progress

Tasks & compliance shows charts of what you completed, what is outstanding, at risk, overdue, missed, done late, deferred and upcoming — by type and by day, for today, 7 days, 30 days or a custom period. Money is shown as an ESTIMATE from your company's own values, kept apart from deductions your company actually recorded.

  1. "How many things did I miss this week?" · "How many timers have I forgotten?" · "Am I doing better this week?"
  2. "How much have I potentially lost in penalties this month?" — an estimate from your company's rates, never a fine.
  3. "How many tasks did VeDa save me from missing?" — done on time after a reminder.
  4. "Which stops need signatures?" · "Which timers are still running?" · "What do I need to take back to the depot?"
  5. "This parcel needs a timer" / "This needs a signature" — adds it to the current stop.
  6. Penalty values are set per category (timer, card, signature, follow-up, proof, return, checklist) by your company — VeDa never assumes one.
  7. While Driving mode is on only a short summary shows; look at the charts when you're parked.

Translator & languages

Talking to customers in another language (translator)

VeDa translates a conversation both ways, hands-free: you speak, VeDa says it in the customer's language; they answer, VeDa tells you what they said. It keeps going until you say "stop translating".

  1. "VeDa, start translator in Polish" · "VeDa, translate between English and Spanish" · "VeDa, I need a translator" (asks which language, or uses your usual one).
  2. Then just talk — no need to say "VeDa" before each sentence. "What did they say?" · "Say that again slower".
  3. "VeDa, tell them the parcel needs a signature" — one sentence translated without starting a conversation.
  4. "Add that as a note" · "Remind me about that" · "Mark that as needing a signature" — only when YOU say it; what the customer says is never acted on by itself.
  5. Postcodes, phone numbers, parcel references and house numbers are kept exactly as they are.
  6. "Stop translating" or "Back to normal VeDa" — the conversation is forgotten; nothing is saved.
  7. Offline: languages marked "offline ✓" in Language › Translator work with no signal (on the phone, free). Tap Download to add one — it only downloads when you ask. Others use VeDa's online translator when you have signal.

Using VeDa in your own language

Choose VeDa's voice language in Settings › Language. VeDa listens in it, understands your commands by translating them, and answers in it. If a translation is unavailable she answers in English rather than guess.

  1. Say commands naturally in your language — e.g. "Weda, oznacz przystanek 12 jako dostarczony".
  2. Numbers, postcodes and references are kept exactly as you said them.
  3. With no signal, languages with a downloaded pack keep working on the phone; Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Urdu and Punjabi need signal for VeDa to hear them.

Language

Settings › Language has two choices: the language of the screens (reading and typing) and VeDa's voice language (listening and speaking). They can differ. VeDa only offers voice languages she can actually hear on this phone, and says how each works.

  1. Settings (the gear) → Language, at the top. It is also under Account.
  2. Screens — reading and typing: pick the language you read and type in.
  3. VeDa's voice — listening and speaking: keep "Same as the screens", or pick another language.
  4. Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Urdu and Punjabi are heard through VeDa's server, and Urdu, Lithuanian and Punjabi are spoken with a free cloud voice unless your iPhone has a voice for them — both need mobile signal.

Customer contact

Calling a customer

If a phone number is on the label or stop, VeDa shows a call button. It never calls automatically.

Calling contacts hands-free

Say "call Mum" or "call John Smith on mobile". VeDa asks one short question if two contacts match. It uses your Contacts only when you ask.

Incoming calls Partly available

VeDa can tell you a call is ringing. iOS does not let any third-party app answer or decline a call, so use your car, headset or Siri for that.

Fleet & scanner

How Fleet works

A company links drivers and vehicles so managers can see rounds, progress, exceptions and vehicle checks. Drivers see only their own round.

Adding another driver

A company admin invites a driver from the Fleet screen; the driver accepts the invite when they sign in.

Scanner to phone handover Partly available

If your scanner dies, sign in on your phone and open Account, Take over a round from another device. You get the same round — stops, order, scans, notes and progress — and your manager keeps seeing one round. It needs round sharing switched on for your company on the server.

  1. On the phone sign in with your cloud account.
  2. Account → Take over a round from another device.
  3. Pick the round and tap Use this round on this phone.

Both devices can keep working offline: when they reconnect the changes are merged, parcels are never duplicated and a newer change is never overwritten by an older one. Photo thumbnails taken on the other device need cloud photo storage, which is not set up yet.

Manager history and retention Partly available

Managers get about a month of searchable operational history. Safety and audit records such as inspections and damage are kept longer under the company's retention settings.

Live rounds and the one-month history Partly available

Fleet shows every driver's live round — done, left, parcels and devices — the same whichever device they use. Operational memory searches the last month; older inspections, damage and incidents are archived, not deleted.

Offline & GPS

Working without signal

Your round, notes and on-device VeDa keep working with no signal, and changes sync when you are back online. Live things like traffic and web answers need a connection.

Offline map areas Partly available

Settings → Offline areas shows what is saved. Full offline map tiles and routing need an extra map provider from the account owner.

Offline maps stopped updating — why?

Offline map tiles only refresh with a live connection. Your downloaded areas keep working with no signal; Settings → Offline & downloads → Offline maps shows what’s saved and its size.

Vehicle & safety

Vehicle inspections

Do a start- or end-of-shift check against your company checklist, with photos of anything that fails. Filed inspections cannot be edited afterwards.

Reporting vehicle damage

From the vehicle check choose to report damage, photograph it and describe it. The report goes to your manager.

Account & subscription

Setting up your account

Create an account, then turn on two-factor authentication under Account → Security.

  1. Open the menu, then Account.
  2. Sign up or sign in.
  3. Account → Security → enable two-factor authentication and, if you like, Face ID.

Subscriptions and billing

Manage or cancel under Account → Subscription. Cancelling starts immediately and is never blocked by a retention flow.

  1. Account → Subscription.
  2. Choose Manage subscription in the App Store to change or cancel.
  3. Restore purchases if you reinstalled or changed phone.

I signed out by accident — is my round lost?

No. Your route, stops, and delivered/skipped state are saved on this device (Route Guardian) independently of your sign-in state, and sync back once you sign back in on a cloud-connected account.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Account → Subscription. Cancelling is always immediate to start (no retention flow) — VeDa will ask a short optional reason afterwards, never before.

Why do I not see subscription prices?

Subscriptions open at launch. Until then every feature in this build is available without a subscription.

Privacy & security

Two-factor authentication and Face ID

Account → Security → Two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code. If codes fail, check your phone's date and time are set automatically.

  1. Account → Security → Enable two-factor authentication.
  2. Scan the QR code, or enter the secret, in your authenticator.
  3. Type the current 6-digit code. Codes refresh every 30 seconds — use a fresh one.

Security review (account owner only) Partly available

The account owner can check VeDa's own security in VeDa Master → Security. Drivers and fleet managers never see it.

The phone checks that owner-only actions stay denied to everyone else. The full scan runs on the owner's Mac and only on systems the owner has listed. It never shows a secret.

Privacy

Label and van photo text is read on your phone. When you're online, what you say to VeDa (and the round details she needs to act on it) goes to VeDa's cloud brain so she can understand you; general questions are answered on the phone. Precise location history is not kept beyond its purpose.

Memories you ask VeDa to keep follow your account to your other devices; anything tied to one stop or customer (gate codes are never kept at all) stays on the phone. Behind other apps, VeDa's location is used on the phone only and is not stored or sent.

How do I turn on two-factor authentication?

Account → Security → Two-factor authentication → Enable two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator) and enter the 6-digit code it shows.

Troubleshooting

My authenticator code doesn't work

Almost always the phone's clock. Set Date & Time to automatic, wait for a new code, and use it straight away.

VeDa can't hear me

Check microphone and speech permissions in iOS Settings, that hands-free listening is on, and try again away from loud noise.

VeDa's voice crackles or stutters

Use Report a problem so the audio diagnostics are attached. Recent builds fixed two known causes of a bad start to speech.

Reporting a problem

Support → Report a problem attaches real diagnostics so the fault can be found.

VeDa stopped listening on its own

After repeated crashes VeDa pauses an experimental voice engine for the rest of the session to keep you working — normal hands-free listening carries on. Close and reopen VeDa to try it again; if it keeps happening, use Report a problem.

Still stuck? Support explains how to report a problem from the app with the diagnostics attached.
